Y'all might exist wondering, "So what in tarnation is this Monday Poll matter anyway!?"

Well, it isn't exactly a poll. It's more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I've been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past eight (!) years. (It'southward like a kickstart for your brain.) I've ever enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you lot enjoy reading mine.

1. What'south the next beauty product you lot'd like to try?
   I'm counting downwardly the minutes (nay, the seconds!) until I shower this morn, just so I tin try Laura Mercier's new Tea Menthe Citron Gel Body Moisture torso moisturizer.

   Remember Laura'south Gel Moisturizer from last year? The lemon verbena one?

   Ahhh! Across expert. My middle bankrupt a footling when I finished the big viii-ounce jar…

   Anyway, she has this new one out (it only arrived on counters), and it smells similar citrusy, minty black tea.

   Yum!

   I'm hoping it'll be just equally moisturizing and absorb just equally quickly (none of that disgusting, sticky skin you get with some gels) as the O.Yard. version.

2. Is there annihilation missing in your life?
   You hateful other than slumber? Well, yes…for sure. Nothing material, although some new living room piece of furniture (and hardwood floors) would be overnice.

   But correct now what I'm missing most are steady emotions — my emotions being non so up and down. More "fifty-fifty."

   I know it's because of post-babe hormones and that "this also shall pass," but I'm just over it, you know? One day things will exist easy and even, and the adjacent 24-hour interval I'll be crying at the drop of a chapeau because of something completely dumb. Man!

   Like the other mean solar day I cried watching Gilmore Girls (I'm re-watching the first season). It was the episode where Rory has ii sixteenth birthday parties, in the scene where Lorelei wakes Rory up early in the morning on her birthday and talks about the solar day she was built-in, and I totally flare-up into tears because i day my baby will turn 16, waaah!

   Come across? Totally can't handle it right meow.

3. When was the concluding time you had pizza? What kind?
   Caturday night. El Hub made his famous (well, famous in our house!) ultra thin crust pizza. 🙂

   He gets the pre-made thin crusts from Target, so adds pizza sauce, mozarella, pepperoni, brocolli, tomato, fresh garlic, chopped olives and drizzles information technology all with olive oil. NOM!

4. Moderation or excess?
   I know myself waaaay too well. When I practice things to backlog (food, exercise, shopping, what take you), it always, ALWAYS comes back to bite me in the @ss.

   And then, moderation FTW.

5. What's the next book y'all want to read?
   Ah! So many. At that place are two in the number one spot — Cute Ruins by Jess Walter and Where'd You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple. Both have been on my reading listing forever!

Kinda, sorta related to the last question, but I'grand thinking nigh signing up for a speed reading class through the Novato adult learning programme.

It's supposed to teach you how to read challenging cloth faster, like textbooks (twice as fast) and magazines (three times faster!).
